4th NextGenBiocat (4th Next Generation Biocatalysis)

Aim of the Conference
was to bring together young researchers, PhD candidates, and postdocs in the early stages of their careers to present their research in the following fields (with no mandatory restrictions):

  • Applied Biocatalysis
  • Clarification of Enzymatic Mechanisms
  • Proteins, Reactions, and Metabolic Engineering (including computational tools)
  • Light-driven Enzymatic Processes
  • Ultra-high throughput screening methods for enzyme discovery and optimization
  • Design of new multi-enzyme cascade reactions

Organizer
The symposium is organized by young researchers from TU Graz, ETH Zurich, TU Delft, Uni Groningen, University of Milan, and Politecnico di Milano.


Chair
Chair of the 4th NextGenBiocat was Mr. Ioannis Pavlidis, who is an Assistant Professor at the University of Crete, specifically in the Department of Chemistry. His main research focus is Enzyme Technology and Applied Biocatalysis.
