Aim of the Conference
was to create a unique contemporary forum for sharing the latest research results on metamaterials, gathering communities from engineering, physics, applied mathematics, and materials science working on artificial materials and their applications in electromagnetism/optics/photonics, acoustics/mechanics, and multiphysics.

The conference was organized by the METAMORPHOSE VI AISBL and the Foundation for Research and Technology – Hellas (FORTH).

Chair
First of all, the initiative of Mrs. Maria Kafesaki, a researcher at the Institute of Electronic Structure and Laser (IESL) of the Foundation for Research and Technology – Hellas (FORTH), and Professor at the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Crete, was the reason for the realization of the 17th International Congress on Artificial Materials for Novel Wave Phenomena once again in Greece. Furthermore, Mrs. Kafesaki’s research focuses on the propagation of electromagnetic and elastic waves in periodic and random media, with an emphasis on photonic crystals and metamaterials, where she has extensive theoretical and computational experience.

3rd LIDAR (International Workshop on Space-Based Lidar Remote Sensing Techniques and Emerging Technologies)

Aim of the Workshop
was to provide a welcoming meeting space for scientists and individuals from the technology sector. The participants came from various countries, universities, industries, and government agencies (e.g., NASA, ESA) with the aim of discussing issues related to current and planned LIDAR (Light Detection And Ranging) space missions and various techniques and related emerging technologies.

Organizers
The 3rd LIDAR Workshop was organized by the Europeasn Space Agency (ESA) and the NASA Langley Research Center.

Chairs
Chair of the workshop was Mr. Upendra N. Singh who is NASA Technical Fellow for Sensors and Instrumentation at the NASA Engineering and Safety Center, NASA Langley Research Center.
Co-chair was Mr. Georgios Tzeremes, who is a Senior Optoelectronic Engineer at the Europeasn Space Agency (ESA).

12th ISRPF (International Symposium on Reproductive Physiology of Fish)

Aim of the conference
was to present, discuss, and analyze topics related to Fish Reproductive Physiology. Distinguished scientists from around the world, with very specific expertise in this research field, gathered in Crete to share their knowledge. In addition to the presence of highly experienced scientists, there was also significant participation from younger scientists (students, postgraduates, and PhD candidates). In fact, some of them were awarded for the works they presented. The conference aimed to highlight and honor the new generation of scientists in this particular research field.

5th National Conference on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Children and Adolescents (Child CBT 2023)

Aim of the conference
was to share and exchange views regarding the management and development of the emotional, behavioral, and mental world of children and adolescents.

Organizers
The conference was organized by the Institute of Behavioral Research and Therapy, under the auspices of the Greek Association of Behavioral Research and the National Kapodistrian University of Athens.

Chair
Mrs. Ioanna Giannopoulou, who is an Associate Professor of Child Psychiatry at the Medical School of the University of Athens, was the chair of the 5th National Conference on Cognitive Behavioral Approaches for Children and Adolescents once again in Athens. Mrs. Giannopoulou’s research and writing work mainly focuses on psychological trauma, as well as the consequences of disasters on children and adolescents, ADHD, mental health issues of preschool children, the application of CBT for children/adolescents, as well as issues of forensic psychiatry for children and adolescents.
